KBZ Bank holds 14th Waso robe offering ceremony

KANBAWZA Bank Ltd and employees of its branches donated robes to the Members of the Sangha yesterday in Yangon to mark the Waso or Vassa, the three-month annual Rain Retreat for Buddhist monks.
During the 14th waso robe offering ceremony held at Kalewa Tawra Monastery in Yangon, the congregation led by U Aung Ko Win, the chairman of KBZ Bank Ltd and his wife Daw Nan Than Htwe, the vice chairperson, received the Five Precepts first from the Presiding Sayadaw of the monastery Bhaddanta Jagara Bhivamsa. Members of Sangha recited parittas.
The congregation donated waso robes to the Members of the Sangha and shared the merits thus gained.
Following the ceremony the chairperson, the vice chairperson and employees of the bank’s branches donated a day-meal to 1,010 Buddhist monks and nuns.
