THE Kanbawza Bank’s Brighter Future Myanmar foundation (BFM) provided Kachin Sate with K100 m for disaster preparedness on Monday.
Chief Minister of Kachin State Government Dr Khet Aung received the donation and spoke words of thanks pledging that the government would spend the donation on effectively carrying out  disaster preparedness activities in the Kachin State.
Speaking on the occasion Daw Yin Yin Mar from the BFM said the foundation’s chairperson Daw Nang Lang Kham arranged for the establishment of the BFM fund in order to better deliver aid in the future as the foundation and other philanthropic associations were delayed last year in delivering aid to areas due to poor infrastructure.
The foundation has established such kinds of fund in Rakhine State, Chin State, Magway Region, Sagaing Region and Kayah State in June and seven regions and states including Kachin State in July. Also present at the ceremony were local authorities, members of the Kachin State disaster preparedness and management committee and local people.
