THATON Township Development Committee plans to spend K 330 million budget alloted for implementation of development project in the township this fiscal year, its spokesperson said.
The project will include construction of road and bridge facilities, water supply and sanitation plans across Thaton, a town in Mon State located on the south of Myanmar.
The authorities plan to spend Ks218.5 million on 22 road projects, Ks22.9 million on construction of bridges, Ks54.6 million on distribution of water and Ks38.2 million on cleaning and greening of the town. The committee invites popular participation in the development programmes, urging residents to report on the needs in their wards and streets to the committee.
A local expressed his view that locals see the positive changes of the committee, which raised funds for the township’s development scheme including garbage collection.
The Thaton Township Development Committee plans to expand the fulfillment of development facilities covering expansion of road networks and paving access road so as to provide better services for dwellers next financial year.—Myitmakha News Aagency
