Jovago Myanmar plans to link with 1,500 hotels by next year
JOVAGO, Africa’s leading online hotel booking site, has launched its services in Myanmar focusing on promoting the country as a destination for locals who are yet to discover its “magical environment,” Chief Executive Officer Mr Paul Midy said.
At the launching of Jovago Myanmar yesterday, the CEO said the expansion confirms its strategy to expand operations and presence in Asia in order to reach and meet the needs of all travellers.
“Jovaco mainly targets the local population in emerging markets.”
Jovago recently opened its 17th global branch office in downtown Yangon.
Mr Abdesslam Benzitouni, Director of Public Relations for Jovago, said the company links with around 250 hotel partners and plans to reach 1,500 hotels by next year.
“We wish to be a key partner for tourism in Myanmar, to promote new destinations and make trips easy and accessible.”
Jovago.com has over 25,000 local hotel listings across Africa and Asia and over 200,000 hotels worldwide. It opened its first office in Africa in 2013 and was founded by joint venture between Rocket Internet, Asia Pacific Internet Group and leading telecoms company Ooredoo.
