INTERNATIONAL election observers visited polling stations 8 and 9 in Aungzeya ward in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on Sunday morning. They observed the voting processes of the local community throughout the voting day.
The observers were from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos and Timor-Leste and were accompanied by officials from the
ASEAN Secretariat and the European Union. Tatkon Township had 136 polling stations to accommodate 162,428 eligible voters, according to an election commission member. The polls opened at 6 am.
