THE 3rd HORECA Bizmatch fair is scheduled to take place in both of the major Myanmar commercial cities, Yangon and Mandalay, this month, an organiser said, with the aim of promoting more business opportunities between Myanmar and Thailand.
The event will run on 12 May at the Sedona Hotel in Mandalay and on 13 May at Chatrium Hotel in Yangon. The event is designed to showcase Thailand’s quality products including food and beverages, construction materials and domestic goods from 20 top Thai companies including online service providers.
The major aim of the event is to promote hotel services in Myanmar. The business matching event is hoped to be an opportunity for Thai business entrepreneurs in the hotel supply chain to meet with hotel owners and executives in Myanmar.
This is the third time Thai businessmen have held the fair since 2014. The first event attracted 300 local companies. The number of visitors increased to over 450 at its second event in April of last year. The organiser expects that over 1,000 companies will attend the next event.
