Hepatitis prevention and care in National Strategic Plan

National Consultation Meeting on Development of National Guideline on Hepatitis was held in  Nay Pyi Taw on 15 September to educate treatment and prevention of hepatitis diseases with upcoming National Strategic Plan.
Hepatitis becomes global issued disease which affects related  diseases like liver disease and liver cancer and so on, according to deputy minister for health Dr. Daw Thein Thein Htay.
“There are 390 million people who suffer from hepatitis B and C diseases and to reduce number of patients, it is needed to educate the people for treatment and prevention,” she said.
The two days meeting will take impact to draw National Strategic Plan on Hepatitis to control plans for those diseases.
UN agencies, INGOs,
professors, experts from ministry of health and government officials participated in the meeting.
