Fruit, vegetable and flower wholesale market will be opened in Danyingon, Insein township, Yangon region at the end of April, according to an official from MAEX (Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Limited). Estimated cost of the whole project is Ks 118 billion.
“We are selling a share for Ks10,500 to farmers, traders and other interested parties. At first, we had planned to sell only 500,000 shares. But there are many people who want to buy the shares. So, we have sold over 600,000 shares. We are also issuing the shares certificate starting in April,” said an official from MAEX. The project is being implemented through a public-private partnership with Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) and Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Limited (MAEX).
