Studio-A of Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) broadcast live yesterday the names of the four singers who advanced to Grand Final of 2017 Peace Music Festival.
The four who advanced to Grand Final are Kyu Kyu Khaing, Phyu Hla, Sa Paung and May Thu Kyaw. The Grand Final will be held at People’s Park, Yangon on 10 December.
Secretary of Peace Music Festival Central Committee and Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV)’s Director (music) U Toe Kyaw and the judges Daw Lae Lae, composer Myint Moe Aung, Daw Htar and composer Min Chit Thu came and announced at the live program.
The Grand Final competition will feature the contestants and famous professional singers.
The winner will be awarded Ks 30 million, the first runner up Ks 20 million, the second runner up Ks10 million and the third runner up Ks 5 million. The seven consolation winners will be awarded Ks3 million respectively.
The Peace Music Festival was supervised by Ministry of Information and held by MRTV across the nation with the aim of arousing public awareness and support of and cooperation in the national reconciliation, the national unity, the internal peace and the democratic federal state.
The competitions of Peace Music Festival were and will be broadcast live from MRTV, MRTV Facebook Page, www.faceboo.com/mrtvwebportal and Peace Music Festival Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/peacemusicfestival.
Participants in all sectors of the festival and well-wishers are visiting IDP camps of the host cities and donating provisions.—Khin Zarli
