Flood-hit Pwintbyu Township rehabilitated by Magway Region Government

THE Magway Region Government has continued its support to the severely flood affected townships of Pwintbyu in Minbu District. As of last Monday the four wards and 151 villages of the township were provided with one bag of rice per month for each household. Township administrator U Thet Oo and officials made the distribution. Locals are delighted, said a community elder. (1bag =50 kg)
A total of 25,393 households will be provided with 50 kg of rice every month. 318 destroyed houses will each be donated K 150,000 and 43 partially-damaged houses will be provided with K 25,000 each, said a township official.
Altogether, K 48.775 million (US$38200) was provided to the flood-damage houses of Pwintbyu Township.
