Flood-hit bridge to be repaired by the end of the month

bridge-72Monghsat District Department of Highways is rebuilding a bridge in Mongton Township, eastern Shan State, after it was damaged by heavy rains on 3 August. The repaired bridge will be 80-foot-long and 18-foot-wide and located on Monghsat-Mongton-Punpakyem Road.
District’s deputy commissioner U Noe Wai inspected the construction works on 25 August and was briefed by senior engineer U Aung Nyo on the progress to date. “I’m pleased to hear that construction is on track and will be completed by the end of August,” said a bus driver from Doh Nyi Naung transport company.
