Farmers receive agricultural loans from Myanma Agricultural Development Bank

Myanma Agriculture Development Bank under the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation started disbursement of agricultural loans to more than 17,000 local farmers from 57 villages in Myanaung Township, Ayeyawady Region, as of 29 May.
Township Manager Daw Khin Myint Yi of the bank said, “The bank will deliver K100,000 per acre to local farmers, totally amounting to K 9.9 million in 2015-16 cultivation season. However, the farmers must have farming certificates.”
The township manager spoke about disciplines of the contracts for the loans.
The bank has disbursed K51.7 million for 517 acres of farmlands to 114 farmers from Shadaw Village.
