Eye surgeons assemble in Yangon for international conference

TWENTY-NINE international ophthalmic surgeons gathered at the 4th Indo-China Ocular Inflammation and Infection Meeting, which was held yesterday in Yangon’s Sedona Hotel.
The event was held in conjunction with the 27th Ophthalmic Surgeon’s Conference.
Participants included experts from Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Taiwan, Indonesia, France, Australia, Germany and Switzerland. Participants discussed the latest research findings on the treatment and causes of eye diseases and exchanged professional insights.
The 27th Myanmar ophthalmic surgeons’ conference continues on 10 and 11 November at the same venue and will focus on innovative methods of treating conditions such as cataracts and laucoma.
