Engineers reopen Kanbalu-Htangon railroad section with repairing derailment of train

The 42-down Mandalay-Myitkyina train driven by U Aung Nyunt derailed between mile posts 485/6 and 485/4 on Kanbalu-Htangon railroad section in Kanbalu about 11.30 p.m. on 22 August.
Engineers and skilled workers from Myanma Railways repaired the wheels of train and rail tracks.
Due to blocking of the 42-down train on the railroad section, the 56-down  express train stopped over at Kanbalu station as of 3 a.m. on 23 August.
As engineers finished repairing of railroads in the heavy rain at 7 p.m. on 23 August, the 56-down train departed Kanbalu station at 7.55 a.m. after 42-down Mandalay-Myitkyina train had resumed its runs.
