Energy ministry holds workshop on LNG import opportunities

The Ministry of Energy and Chiyoda Corporation organised a workshop on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at the Thingaha Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
Permanent Secretaries from the Ministry of Electric Power and the Ministry of Energy, as well as members of the Implementation of LNG Business Development Committee and experts from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Electric Power attended the workshop. Also present were representatives from foreign LNG companies that have partnered with the Ministry of Energy.
The permanent secretaries of the Ministry of Energy and the general manager of the Chiyoda Corporation, MrKo Hosokawa, made opening remarks at the event.
A brief history of the Chiyoda Corporation was presented by General Manager Ms Akemi Takahashi.
Chiyoda Group Leader Mr Toyomitsu Kanai and Senior Technology Advisor Mr Noriyoshi Nozawaexplained the various types of LNG plants, Chiyoda’s experience in the LNG sector, as well as LNG processing, terminal construction andtrading.
The attendees cordially discussed the development of imported LNG businesses in Myanmar.
