Urgently needed cars and phones for emergency patients on Dawei district highway, located in Yayphu Township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi Region, will be provided by a local emergency patient organisation.
“They will support one emergency car and a spare car and those cars will be used in the early evening up to the early morning on that highway,” said U Naing Myo Thwin, the chairman of Zabuthiri emergent patient supporting organisation.
His organisation has formed 24 groups which will aid emergency patients with Dawei district emergency vehicles for the emergency patients’ network. This process will commence in the second week of October.
Presently, there are emergency cars for patients that will operate three days per week on the highway between Yay Phyu town and Malwal mountain. On other days, an authorised person will quickly get help for emergency patients by linking them with regional emergency cars and organisations.
“If there is an accident, there are no emergency cars on the highway”, said U Naing Myo Thwin. “If the accident happens near a village, it is not too difficult to get help. On the other hand, it is not easy to get assistance for an emergency case. So our organization forms the above kind of groups which can help immediately to emergency accidents on the highway.
Zabuthiri saving emergent patients organization was formed in 2013. They have seven emergency vehicles, one spare car and one local used car for monks. From 1stJanuary 2016 up to 24th September, they have helped 835 emergency patients from Dawei district. —Shar nyo (Myitmakha)
