‘Dhammanupassana’ papers read at 4th Int’l Buddhist Conference

The International Theravada Buddhist Missionary University (ITBMU) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs yesterday organised its Fourth International Conference on Outlook on Self-identity Beyond the Concept called “Dhammanupassana” at the university.
State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Chairman Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, ITBMU Rector Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Nandamalabhivamsa and Thitagu World Buddhist University Chancellor Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Nyanissara delivered speeches at the event.
Union Minister U Soe Win said that the conference was aimed at sharing the Buddhist insight meditation practices that would contribute to the propagation and promotion of Buddhism and the peace of mankind.
International experts would read out their papers on ‘Dhammanupassana’, the union minister said, adding that the event was an honour to the country.
The conference drew over 250 learned monks and lay disciples and will continue until 22 December.
