Nay Pyi Taw, 31 July — Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army) attended the 88th anniversary celebrations of the People’s Liberation Army of China at the Novotel hotel in Yangon on Friday evening, officials said.
Vice-Senior General Soe Win was welcomed by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Hong Liang and Senior Colonel Wang Jinbo of the Chinese military attaché. He read out a message sent by the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services before a dinner hosted by the Chinese ambassador.—Myawady
