Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing welcomed General Surapong Suwana-Adth, Chief of Defence Forces of Royal Thai Armed Forces, who arrived in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday at the invitation of the Senior General to pay a good will visit to Myanmar and to participate in the 4th High Level Committee Meeting.
General Surapong Suwana was treated to a ceremonial welcome at the Zayarthiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and they inspected together the honour guard.
Following the ceremony, they held talks over cooperation between the two armed forces in bringing about peace and stability and development in the border areas.
The meeting also focused on anti-narcotic drug, quick response to terrorism and promoting the bilateral cooperation through exchange of sports teams and cultural troupes between the armed forces of the two countries.
In the evening, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing hosted a dinner in honour of the Thai military delegation.
