Cruise ship docks in Yangon

A CRUISE-LINER carrying more than 500 people arrived at Myanmar International Thilawa Terminal in Yangon on 3 November.
MV Silver Shadow is operated by US-based Silver Cruises, it is carrying 336 passengers and 290 crew members. The tourists and crew members were welcomed by Permanent Secretary U Yi Mon of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
It is the vessel’s third voyage to Myanmar, with previous trips taking place in November and February of last year. The cruise-liner is scheduled to return to the commercial capital in December.
The tourists aboard MV Silver Shadow are scheduled to visit sites in downtown Yangon as well as Thanlyin, Bago, Bagan and Mandalay. The MV Silver Shadow will depart for Langkawi Island in Malaysia on 6 November.—Myanmar News Agency
