MYINGYAN — District deputy commissioner U Myint Thin Aung and local officials inspected the construction of a 5-mile asphalt section of the Talok-Simeegon road in Myingyan Township on 6 September. The section is part of the 8-mile Myingyan-Talok-Simeegon road, which connects several towns and villages in Mandalay Region.
The officials called for the road to be completed on time and for workers to take appropriate safety measures. The Myingyan-Talok section of the road has already been completed.
After completion of the Talok-Simeegon section, the whole road is expected to provide a more convenient transport route to Myingyan from nearby rural villages. The road section is being constructed by Htaik Htaik Win Construction Company at a cost of K396.86 million.—Zaw Min Naing
