Commander-in-Chief presents monastic offertories to Sayadaws in Mandalay and Sagaing

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla offered Waso robes and monastic items to prominent Sayadaws in Mandalay and Sagaing yesterday.
At the Bamo monastery of Maha Aungmyay township in Mandalay, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received words of advice from Presiding Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa. The commander-in-chief presented Waso robes and offertories to the Sayadaw. He also handed over the cash assistance contributed by families of the army, navy and air forces through the board of trustees.
In Sagaing, the commander-in-chief visited the Sitagu International Vipassana Academy, where paid homage to Sitagu Sayadaw Dr Nyanissara, who is also Chancellor of Sitagu International Buddhist Academy. The Sayadaw led the commander-in-chief on the tour of the Shwesigon pagoda in the compound of the monastery.
At the Sitagu International Buddhist Academy, the commander-in-chief offered Waso robes and monastic items to the Sayadaw. He also handed over the money donated by families of the army, navy and air forces through the board of trustees.—Myanmar News Agency
