COMMANDER-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing went on an inspection tour of a mud volcano in Minbu, Magway Region to assess the earthquake damage yesterday.
The Commander-in-Chief gave instructions on cleanup works and renovation and reconstruction of the damaged buildings in the area.
The Senior General presented cash donations from the Defence Services for all-round renovation of the mud volcano to the board of trustees.
According to sources, a retaining wall, a stairway, a pagoda, ceiling of the prayer hall and walls were damaged during Wednesday’s earthquake.
The Senior General and party visited Myathalun Pagoda in Magway where they made cash donations and paid homage to a duplicate sacred tooth relic kept at the Maha Atulayanthi Prayer Hall of the pagoda.
