LOCAL authorities are working towards the re-cultivation of cold season crops on 26,565 acres of farmlands in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region. Under the direction of the Sagaing Region Chief Minister the Agricultural Mechanisation Department ploughed 5,737 acres of farmlands in 29 village-tracts of the township with the use of 95 tractors. Chairman of Kalay District Management Committee U Maung Htoo and Head of District AMD U Kyaw Kyaw Oo inspected new bean plantations on the farmland of U Myint Oo in Natnan Village on 14 November.
