THE Immigration and National Registration Department issued national citizenship scrutinizing cards to school children at No.19 Basic Education High School in Dakkhina Thiri Township yesterday.
Children over the age of 10 are entitled to receive ID cards, said an officer.
The immigration and national registration office will issue ID cards between 1 and 4 December.
Students must provide census data (66-Ka), copies of their parents National Registration Certificate, and recommendations from their village and school headmasters to be eligible to receive a card.
