Chinlone skills on display at Eindawya Pagoda Festival

CHINLONE demonstrations were held at the 41st Eindawya Pagoda Festival, which began on Saturday. The demonstrations will continue at the festival from 9am until midnight every day until 25 October.
Chinlone is a popular sport among Mandalay residents as well a major tourist attraction in the city. It sometimes called ‘cane ball.’  A total of 895 teams from around the country will take part in the demonstrations, with 30 teams performing every day during the festival for 30 minutes each.—Tin Maung
