PRESIDENT U Thein Sein met with a Chinese delegation led by Mr Liu Zhenmin, Vice Foreign Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, at the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The two sides discussed the promotion of bilateral relations between Myanmar and China, bilateral economic cooperation and increasing sector-wide collaboration.
Also present at the meeting were union ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin, U Soe Thane and U Ye Htut.
In a separate meeting, the Chinese delegation met with Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker Thura U Shwe Mann.
Also present at the meeting were Pyithu Hluttaw International Relations Committee Chairman U Hla Myint Oo, Legal Affairs and Special Cases Assessment Commission members U Khin Maung Tin and U San Shwe Aung.
Mr Liu Zhenmin was accompanied by Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Hong Liang.
