Chair of management committee for 72nd Union Day meets ethnic cultural troupes

Chairman of the Management Committee for the 72nd Union Day Ceremony, Dr. Myo Aung, who is also the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, met with ethnic cultural troupes in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. During the meeting, the Chairman explained agendas for the upcoming ceremony for Union Day. He then met cordially with leaders and members of the ethnic cultural troupes. The Chairman then insepcted the troupes’ temporary lodgings, dining hall, clinic, libraries, and the sub-committee offices.
With the aim of exchanging ethnic traditional dances, ethnic cultural troupes from different different states and regions are invited to attend the 72nd Union Day Ceremony.
A total of 446 ethnic nationals from different cultural troupes have arrived so far, with 63 from Kachin State, 78 from Kayah State, 43 from Kayin State, 40 from Chin State, 43 from Taninthayi State, 34 from Mon State, 36 from Rakhine State, 77 from Shan State and 32 from Ayeyawady Region. — Han Lin Naing (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
