Casualities high in accident on Ygn-Mdy Expressway

Rescue team trying to evacuate passengers trapped in the car.

A highway bus owned by Mandalarmin Transportation lost control of its vehicle between mileposts 91 mile 4 furlong and 5 furlong, and dived into the creek between the two-way bridges yesterday, killing at least seven passengers and injuring many others.
“The bus hit the bridge divider and fell into the creek. We are still rescuing passengers. The driver has already died,” an official from the fire station said at about 9 pm yesterday.
The police, firefighters and the public were trying to rescue passengers who were injured in the accident.
