CAN Manufacturing factory launched in Yangon

Opening ceremony of Can manufacturing Factory joint ventured by Loi Hein Co, Ltd and Toyo Seikan Group Co, Ltd was held at Thilawa industrial zone yesterday morning.
Union Minister for Industry U Khin Maung Cho, National League for Democracy (NLD) Central Executive Committee Secretary U Win Htein, Chairman of Loi Hein Co, Ltd Dr Sai San Htun, President of Toyo Seikan Group Holdings Co,Ltd Mr. Takao Nakai, Managin Director of Yangon Can Manufacturing Co, Ltd Mr. Tomonori Ogata and other invited officials attended the opening ceremony. U Win Htein, Dr Sai San Htun, Mr. kazuyuki Takimi, Mr. Takao Nakai and Mr. Ichio Otsuka delivered an opening speech and Mr. Ichio Otsuka, Mr. Tomornori Ogata, U Zaw Zaw and Dr. Than Than Thwe cut the ribbon for the launching of the factory.
Then the officials observed the production of Shark branded cans in the factory. Then, vocalist Chan Chan entertained with songs along with Japan-Myanmar friendly dances and Mr. Tomonori Ogata expressed his gratitude for the entertainment.
“The aim of the factory is to save foreign exchange expenditure as the country is importing 80 containers of Shark branded cans from Thailand every month spending a large amount of foreign exchange.
The Japanese joint-venture factory can produce 200 million tonnes per year — 150 million tonnes for Shark brand and the others for Alpine dairy products,” said Dr. Sai San Htun.
