Cable car of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda becomes popular among pilgrims

The number of pilgrims who took cable cars plying between Rathetaung station and the precinct of Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda stood at 62000, said U Myo Wai, the adviser of Sky Asia Co Ltd.
According to U Myo Wai, there were 62000 pilgrims taking cable cars from 19 to 31 December 2017 including 600 foreigners at the rate of K 3000 per head for local people and of five US$ per head for foreigners. But it is free for monks and nuns.
The increase in the number of local and foreign pilgrims spending holidays makes the cable transportation systems popular among them—Tin Htut (Mawlamyine)
