Blasts reported in Chinshwehaw

TWO blasts were reported on Kunlon-Chinshwehaw Road in Laukkai Township yesterday, inspection revealed that the road had been damaged.
It was discovered that two mines were planted on the left and right sides of a drainage across the road which exploded at around 12.20 am, leaving a hole 24 ft wide and 6ft deep.
During an investigation at the site, authorities found that the responsible induvial(s) took position about 20 metres north of the site to blast the mines. The blast site is located near the Chinshwehaw Police Station. Police responded by closing the section of road but traffic returned to normal at around 8.30 am .
