FOLLOWING big waves in the Yangon River on 7th February, action is being being taken as well as precautions for passenger and for the motorised boats that are running from Botahtaung to Thamada jetty, Dala Township.
“The strong winds from the east caused big waves in the Yangon River. We need to take action for the safety of passengers.
In order to prevent accidents, the motorised boats will reduce the seating capacity by half. Normally a boat can carry 12 passengers. Each passenger has to pay K200 fare”, said Thamada Jetty.
