BFM funds Kyaw Thu Parahita Network to carry out further social welfare activities

KANBAWZA Brighter Future Myanmar (BFM) donated K500 million to the Kyaw Thu Parahita Network yesterday to speed up effective social welfare activities in the country.
At a ceremony held at the Jasmine Palace Hotel in Yangon yesterday, Daw Nang Leng Kham, Chairperson of the foundation, donated K50 million each to the Free Funeral Service Society (Yangon) and Maha Panita Parahita Pagoda, K20 million each to the Home for the Aged Artists and parahita societies of the Kyawthu Parahita Network and K15 million each to the other 24 Parahita societies to aid their social welfare activities.
“Today’s donations are aimed at assisting social welfare societies across the country to be able to carry out their activities effectively,” said U Nyo Myint, Senior Executive Director of the KBZ Group of Companies Ltd.
Since its establishment in 2007, BFM has funded social welfare activities in the religion, education, health and sports sectors.
Currently BFM is implementing the water supply project, supplying drinking water to people facing water scarcity nationwide with the use of 43 water tankers, digging tube wells and building water supply facilities.
BFM has spent more than K1 billion so far on social welfare activities to date.
