Baby elephant found in Ayeyawady

A BABY elephant was found by locals near mile post No 7/1 on Ngayokekaungtaung Road in Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region.
The female elephant is 33-inches high, and her trunk is 15 inches long. The length between her nose and tail is 57 inches.
It is estimated that the age of the calf is no more than one month. The baby elephant is currently residing at the Tinchaung Village administrator’s office. Authorities plan to hand over the calf to the government-owned timber camp run by the Forestry Department in Pathein Township.— Township IPRD
