Authorities make another stimulant tablet seizure in North Dagon tied to massive drug haul in Mingaladon Tsp

Linked to the massive narcotic drugs seizure last month, police seized an additional 1.5 million stimulant tablets worth about K 7.5 billion during their raids on the head office of Kaladan Delta Development Co. Ltd in North Dagon Township on 3 August.
Police discovered the haul of drugs packed in five bags at the head office. The company’s branch office and houses of its managing director and members of the board of directors in Mayangon Township were also found locked and they are believed to have fled, police said.
Police identified the managing director and members of the board of directors as Min Oo Khaing, Kyaw Aye Hlaing (a) Khaing Aung Soe and Win Hlaing.
Following the seizure of 26.7 stimulant tablets worth around K133.5 billion in an abandoned vehicle in Mingaladon Township last month, further investigations led the police to a house in ward 43 of North Dagon Township where they found documents related to the company.
According to the find in the house, the owner of the abandoned vehicles police found in Mingaladon Industrial Zone (Zaygabar compound) and near a traffic light on No (3) road in Mingaladon Township is  Hla Maung (a) Aung Lin (a) Pyae Soe, the police added.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, bags of stimulant tablets seized at the head office of the company were also packed similarly to bags found in Mingaladon Township, and charged filed against Min Oo Khaing, 29, Kyaw Aye Hlaing (a) Khaing Aung Soe, 30, Win Hlaing, 33, Hla Maung (a) Aung Lin (a) Pyae Soe, 26, Aye Than, 26, Than Myint, 30, Shwe Thee Maung, 28, and Than Tun, 26. Investigation and search for the suspects is ongoing, it said.
