THE ASEAN Comprehensive Investment Agreement Forum and Seminar concluded yesterday with the participation of experts over the benefits of the ACIA.
Jointly organised by the ASEAN Secretariat and the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration under the Ministry of Planning and Finance with the assistance of the Australian Government through the ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Program Phase II, the two-day forum and seminar kicked off on Wednesday at the Kandawgyi Place Hotel in Yangon.
During the ACIA Forum and Seminar experts discussed the provisions of the ACIA and its benefits.
The forum and seminar aims to introduce and promote the ACIA to ASEAN investors, government agencies and the private sector, to improve the understanding of the ACIA and to discuss the ACIA as a catalyst for a Global ASEAN as part of the ASEAN Community 2025.
U Aung Naing Oo, Director General of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, U Win Aung, Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, around 100 delegates and officials from the Australian Embassy, ASEAN Embassies, the ASEAN Secretariat, the Ministries, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the speakers were present at the forum and seminar.
