65th Independence, Armed Forces Day of Cambodia celebrated in Yangon

The 65th Anniversary of Independence Day and Armed Forces Day of Cambodia was celebrated at the Melia Hotel in Yangon yesterday evening. Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin and his wife attended the ceremony. The celebration began with the playing of the national anthems of Myanmar and Cambodia. Afterwards, the Union Minister and the Cambodian Ambassador to Myanmar, Mr. Sok Chea, delivered the opening speeches. This was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony.
Later, the Union Minister and the Ambassador posed for photographs with other invitees. The Cambodian Ambassador and his wife also hosted a dinner for the guests. The ceremony was also attended by Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Nai Thet Lwin and his wife, Lt-Gen Myo Zaw Thein from the Commander-in-Chief’s Office (Army) and his wife, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Thet Pone and his wife, ambassadors and diplomats from foreign embassies in Yangon and representatives from the United Nations.—MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
