5,200 tons of marine products exported to Thailand within a week

FISHERIES businesses in Myanmar exported 5,232 tons of marine products worth US$4 million to Thailand through Myawady, Kawthoung and Myeik ports of entry between 12 and 18 August.
The week’s total represented an increase of 1,404 tons against the prior week. Total fisheries sector exports have had an estimated value this financial year of more than $200 million as of 18 August this FY both through sea route and border trade.
Total border trade with Thailand at Tachilek, Myawady, Kawthoung, Myeik, Hteekhee, Mawtaung and Maese gates is estimated to be $461 million, so far this financial year.
