165 public-works carried out in Takon’s rural areas

World Bank delegate Mr Nodoka and a delegation met with the Department of Township Rural Development under the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development. The meeting was held to discuss implementing public-centered works in rural areas and was held at the department’s Tatkon township office in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.
Township officer U Soe Min Latt explained his department’s public-centered works, which involve 186 villages. Locals prioritised the 165 projects to be carried out within the first-year plan’s funds of 1.78 billion kyat as follows: 65 for building roads and bridges, 75 related to other infrastructure, 22 rural water supply projects and three electricity supply works. Mr Nodoka and the delegation discussed plans for choosing next year’s projects and aid distribution.
