138 detained nationals return from Malaysia

A total of 138 detained Myanmar nationals in Malaysia have returned home, under an arrangement among the Overseas Employment Supervisory Committee, Mother Trading and Construction Co Ltd and the Miba Gonyi philanthropic organisation.
The 138 detained Myanmar nationals with Certificates of Identity arrived at the airport in Yangon at 9pm yesterday. They were the eighth batch to return from Malaysia.
The Mother Trading and Construction Co Ltd and the Miba Gonyi philanthropic organisation helped upon their arrival them with K50,000 each and clothes.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population is cooperating with Malaysian authorities to protect Myanmar migrant workers in Malaysia.
A total of 1,099 detained Myanmar nationals have so far been brought back home from Malaysia.
