10 students win scholarships to Japan

Ten university students will undertake a two-week internship in Japan in April this year as part of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation’s scholarship programme.
SMBC’s Yangon Branch General Manager Mr Nobuyasu Akagi officially awarded scholarships to three students from Yangon University, three from Yangon University of Economics and four from Yangon University of Foreign Languages at a ceremony in Yangon on Friday.
Third-year students enrolled at the University of Yangon, the Yangon University of Economics and the Yangon University of Foreign Languages are eligible for the programme, which also includes a sum of US$1,000 per year.
