1 dead in Muse, northern Shan State, following torrential rain, floods

Inundation causes damages MUSE

Emergency services are on standby in Muse, northern Shan State, amid flooding that has caused one death and endangered several households.
Flood waters have inundated corn and paddy fields, as well as the border gates between Myanmar and China, while damaging a bridge on Muse-Namkham Road.
The inundation caused a wall to collapse, killing Maung Kyaw Min Thant. The Muse-Namkham Union Road was closed temporarily and police, firefighters and Red Cross members are preparing to provide assistance.–MUSE District IPRD
